Cooley Welcomes IP Partner DeAnna D. Allen in Washington, D.C.

Cooley LLP announced today that DeAnna D. Allen has joined the firm as a partner in its Washington, DC office. Allen, most recently a partner of Dickstein Shapiro LLP, is an intellectual property practitioner with a particular focus on patent litigation, along with significant patent prosecution experience. She also counsels clients in a variety of industries on matters relating to wireless and wired communication technologies. Prior to practicing with Dickstein Shapiro, Allen served as in-house counsel to Burger King Brands.

Simpson Thacher Represents ZelnickMedia in Sale of Alloy Entertainment

In June 2010, the firm represented an investor group led by ZelnickMedia in its acquisition of Alloy, Inc. The firm is currently representing Alloy, Inc. in the sale of its Alloy Entertainment, LLC division to the television group of Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the third calendar quarter.
