Mario Barrera Joins Fulbright & Jaworski

Experienced labor lawyer Mario Barrera is joining international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski to take on a new San Antonio legal job, according to a press release.

Accomplished in litigation, Barrera is joining one of the firm’s Texas offices as a partner.

His experience includes trying cases concerning race, national origin, sexual harassment and age discrimination. He was previously employed at Bracewell & Giuliani.

“Mario has a fine reputation for achieving successful verdicts in cases throughout Texas, but especially in the difficult venues of the Lower Rio Grande Valley and along the Gulf Coast,” partner-in-charge George Scofield with the firm’s San Antonio office said. “He will reinforce our labor and employment practice both locally and firm-wide.”

Barrera specializes in labor and employment issues and has lead investigations about employment as well as training seminars. The new job will provide the perfect platform from which to grow this practice.

He holds a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law and earned a bachelor of arts degree from Pan American University.
