DeAnna D. Allen Joins Cooley D.C. as Partner

National law firm Cooley hired DeAnna D. Allen as a partner for a Washington legal job, according to a press release.

With a practice focusing on intellectual property and patent litigation, Allen bring particular experience in wireless and other telecommunications matters.

She joins an intellectual property team staffed by roughly 110 attorneys and about 50 additional staff members.

 

“I am thrilled to be joining the Cooley IP team, which is one of the strongest in the country,” Allen said.  “I look forward to collaborating with colleagues across the firm in delivering strategic and business-savvy IP to clients who are defining the future course of technology both nationally and globally.”

Formerly of Dickstein Shapiro, Allen is experienced with patent prosecution. She also served as in-house counsel with Burger King Brands prior to coming aboard Dickstein Shapiro.

She holds a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law and she earned her bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland.

Cooley’s offices also are in California, New York, Colorado, Boston and Washington State, according to the firm. It also keeps an office in Shanghai.
