Global law firm Reed Smith today announces the hire of Nina Howell as partner in its Energy & Natural Resources Group and London office. Howell joins the firm with over 20 years’ experience advising clients across the energy industry. She has a particular focus on the LNG sector, representing clients across the LNG supply chain globally, from the financing and development of LNG import and export projects to LNG sales, marketing, trading and transportation. Howell also brings with her two decades of experience of upstream joint ventures, unitization, M&A and other energy related corporate transactions, across several continents. She joins the firm from King & Spalding where she was partner prior to joining Reed Smith.

Simpson advises on all aspects of UK and European Union competition law, with a focus on high-profile contentious matters – including competition litigation, investigations and regulatory challenges, and alternative dispute resolution, as well as merger law control and cartel damages actions. He has dealt with multiple matters before the English High Court, the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the European Court of Justice. Simpson arrives from Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was head of antitrust and competition.
