Jack P. Hopper, Esq., is a Managing Director in the Houston office and Austin office of Kinney Recruiting. Jack has over twenty years of legal recruiting experience and has placed scores of attorneys, including partners, associates and corporate counsel in markets across the globe. He has lived and recruited in Austin, Houston, Miami and Atlanta during his long career, and knows the intricacies of the practice of law and the stringent requirements of his clients. Jack comes from a long tradition of lawyers. His father was a Senior Partner and Head of the Labor Section at Vinson & Elkins in Houston. He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a BA in History and was also a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Cindy Summerfield is a Recruiting Director at Kinney Recruiting where she matches attorneys to opportunities throughout the US and Canada. Cindy has over 10 years of recruiting, hiring and performance management experience. Prior to joining Kinney, Cindy managed an IP team in Pfizer’s legal department and also handled numerous large transactions and high-stakes regulatory and litigation matters. More >>

Robert E. Kinney, Esq., is President of Kinney Recruiting. Robert is an alumnus of Phillips Academy at Andover, Massachusetts, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Texas School of Law. As an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, Robert studied International Relations and German and was a member of Psi Upsilon Fraternity and the Owl Society. Robert spent a year studying abroad at Ludwig Maximillians Universität in Munich prior to law school, and later interned at a law firm in Duisburg, Germany. At the University of Texas School of Law, Robert’s most valuable experience was working closely in Edinburgh, Scotland with noted University of Texas professor Hans W. Baade on the Piper Alpha Disaster litigation, a major litigation matter involving Scottish and Texas law issues that became the longest running trial in Scottish history.

Joshua Shirley, Esq., is a Managing Director at Kinney Recruiting, where he matches attorneys to opportunities in Charlotte, Raleigh, Chicago, and other major markets throughout the United States. Prior to joining Kinney, Josh was a top-producing legal recruiter in a large company with nearly 100 fiercely competitive agents. Josh succeeds in recruiting by listening closely to candidates and clients and always playing the long game. Several years on, Josh’s relationship-based recruiting style has led to many close connections and even some close friendships with many of the candidates he has worked with during his career. In 2022 Josh relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina where he is meeting new attorneys and helping them navigate their careers. Josh is excited to integrate himself in the Carolina legal markets and looks forward to all the new names and faces that come with being a professional legal recruiter in a fast growing market. Daniel J. Roark, Esq. is Managing Director of the Houston and Austin offices of Kinney Recruiting. A Spanish speaker with a home in Mexico and a well-stamped passport, Daniel also leads our search capabilities in Latin America. Daniel has over a decade of legal recruiting experience and has placed scores of attorneys in major markets across the globe. He is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where he received his BA in English Literature with a minor in Business and was also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. Following his undergraduate studies, Daniel spent two years in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas as an elementary school educator for Teach For America, an AmeriCorps program. Daniel then continued his educational endeavors abroad, teaching in the language department of the University of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico, one of the nation’s most decorated language programs. Christoph Turk studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Trier und der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Bereits während des Studiums konzentrierte er sich auf Arbeitsrecht/Personalrecht.

Hier erwarb er aufgrund bundesweiter Niederlassungsstrukturen sowie branchenübergreifender Tätigkeitsfelder umfangreiche Erfahrungen in den Bereichen Automotive, Pharma, Telekommunikation und Konsumgüterindustrie.
