Norton Rose Advises Consortium of Banks on €855m Investment in the North Sea Wind Farm Butendiek

International legal practice Norton Rose has advised a consortium of banks led by KfW IPEX-Bank, UniCredit and Bremer Landesbank on the financing of the offshore wind farm Butendiek in the North Sea. The consortium finances this large-scale project with loans in the total amount of approximately €855m; the overall investment volume is about €1.3bn. The remaining funds are raised by the group of investors consisting of Industriens Pension, Marguerite, PKA, Siemens Project Ventures and wpd.

Willkie Represents Citigroup Global Markets, Deutsche Bank Securities and J.P. Morgan Securities in Lennar’s $450 Million Bond Offering

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised China Petroleum & Chemical Corp (“Sinopec Corp.”) on the Hong Kong and US aspects of its US$3.1 billion (HK$23.97 billion) private placement of new H-shares. The new shares will be listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (“HKSE”) on or about 14 February, 2013. It will be the largest equity transaction in Asia so far this year, and Sinopec Corp.’s first major equity offering since its IPO in 2000.
