Jones Day Welcomes Capital Markets Partner Emily Leitch to Houston Office

The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Emily Leitch has joined the Firm’s Capital Markets Practice as a partner in its Houston Office.  Ms. Leitch joins Jones Day from Bracewell LLP.

A lawyer with significant experience in highly complex transactions, Ms. Leitch counsels clients on capital markets activities, corporate governance matters, securities law compliance, M&A, and financial restructurings. Her experience includes initial public offerings, private investment in public equity transactions (PIPEs), and other public and private offerings of common and preferred equity securities.

Ms. Leitch has represented both buyers and sellers in a broad range of M&A transactions, including stock and asset purchases and sales, joint ventures, and private equity investments. Her recent matters include the representation of Parsley Energy, Inc. in its acquisition of undeveloped acreage and production in the Permian Basin from Double Eagle Energy Permian, LLC and the representation of Noble Energy, Inc. in its acquisition of Clayton Williams Energy, Inc..
