International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA, the number two global container shipping line, on its sale of 35 percent of Terminal Investment Limited SA (“TIL”) to Global Infrastructure Partners and a group of its LP co-investors. The consideration is US$1.929 billion, including certain payments contingent on TIL’s future performance.

The deal attracted 15 cornerstone investors, who together purchased approximately 33% of the offering.
