Paul Hastings LLP, a leading global law firm, represented Grupo Famsa, S.A.B. de C.V., a leading company in the Mexican retail and finance sectors, in connection with its international issuance of high-yield debt securities. The offering was underwritten by Credit Suisse and Citigroup and involved the issuance of $250 million of 7.250% Senior Notes due 2020 pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. This transaction marks the first international notes offering by Grupo Famsa since 2010.

Dorsey Adds Justice Department Environmental Veteran in Washington, DC

International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP announced today that Thomas A. Lorenzen has joined the Regulatory Affairs group in the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner. Mr. Lorenzen joins Dorsey from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, where he has been an Assistant Chief since 2004. Davis Polk advised Barclays Capital Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as representatives of the several underwriters in connection with the secondary offering of 17,250,000 shares of common stock of Wesco Aircraft Holdings, Inc. sold by a selling stockholder, an affiliate of the Carlyle Group, for an aggregate price to the public of $276 million. Wesco Aircraft’s common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “WAIR.”
