Former federal prosecutor and seasoned trial lawyer Steven A. Block has joined Holland & Knight’s Litigation Section as a partner in Chicago. Mr. Block joins the firm from Thompson Hine, where he served as a vice chair of the litigation department and member of the government enforcement, internal investigations and white collar defense group.
Holland & Knight has strengthened its nationally recognized Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group with the addition of Private Equity Partner Andrew McCune in Chicago. Mr. McCune joins the firm from McDermott Will & Emery and is the fourth corporate partner added to Holland & Knight’s Chicago office since December.

Barnes & Thornburg announced today that Jeremy Lewin has rejoined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Corporate department. Lewin was a partner with Barnes & Thornburg for nearly a decade before serving as general counsel for the American Society of Anesthesiologists® and its six affiliated entities, and as a principal for another firm’s nonprofit and employment practice groups.

Adding to its formidable capabilities in complex multidistrict litigation, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP announced today that Richard C. Godfrey is joining the firm as a partner, resident in the firm’s Chicago office. Godfrey joins from Kirkland & Ellis, where he served for 16 years on the Global Management Executive Committee.
