Sowatzka, a specialist in environmental regulation and a former federal regulator, rejoins King & Spalding from Baker Donelson, where he was a shareholder. He was at King & Spalding from 2007 to 2010.

Davis Polk is advising BofA Merrill Lynch as financial adviser to Netspend Holdings, Inc. in connection with its approximately $1.4 billion acquisition by Total System Services, Inc. (TSYS). After USPA appealed the broad injunction entered by the district court, the Second Circuit affirmed on all grounds, including the district court’s finding of bad faith infringement.
