Field Fisher Waterhouse Boosts Brussels Office with Regulatory Partner Hire

European law firm Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP announces today the appointment of Competition & EU Regulatory partner Katia Merten-Lentz.

Katia, who specialises in EU, Belgian and French food law, joins the firm from Van Bael & Bellis. Prior to this, Katia was at Gide Loyrette Nouel.  Katia also advises on issues relating to environmental and health and cosmetics law.

Her clients include Air France, Bonduelle, Groupe Roullier and Invivo.

Her appointment brings the number of partners in Field Fisher Waterhouse’s Brussels office to 16.  Katia’s appointment further demonstrates Field Fisher Waterhouse’s commitment to strengthening its regulatory capability.  Her appointment follows that of a three-lawyer regulatory team headed by partner David Haverbeke who joined the team in August 2012 from Lydian.

Eric Cusas, Managing Partner of Field Fisher Waterhouse’s Brussels office said: “I am delighted that Katia is joining the firm.  Her experience advising companies in the food sector adds a new specialism to Brussels’ Competition & EU Regulatory practice.  Katia will have an important role to play as we continue to grow our market share.”
