KTC Strenthens Key Practice Areas with Two Shareholder-Level Hires

Karr Tuttle Campbell is pleased to welcome Kathy Feldman and Alex Modelski to our firm as shareholders. Kathy and Alex both come to KTC from the Seattle office of Ater Wynne. Ms. Feldman, who is consistently recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America by US News & World Report, joins our Employment Relations and Litigation practice group, while Mr. Modelski joins the Intellectual Property and Technology area to advise technology-sector and other high-growth clients in a range of business matters.

During her time at Ater Wynne, Ms. Feldman developed a substantial repertoire of skills for Labor and Employment Law and Litigation. She advises her clients in a wide range of employment issues, including counseling employers on matters such as sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and hour requirements, FMLA, ADA, personnel and hiring practices, and drafting personnel documents. She defends employers against charges of discrimination, wrongful termination, disability and contract disputes, among others.

With Ms. Feldman’s addition, the Employment department at Karr Tuttle Campbell enhances its depth and experience. She joins seven other experienced attorneys in advising our clients in a full range of employment matters.

Mr. Modelski serves as outside corporate counsel to a number of technology and high-growth companies, and assists clients with business formation, intellectual property, venture capital, acquisition and sale. Alex is legal advisor to the Seattle Angel Conference, helped form and is legal advisor to the recently formed Seattle Angel Fund, and Seattle Angel, a nonprofit corporation that provides education to entrepreneurs and angel investors.

He is very active with the Law of Commerce in Cyberspace Committee of the Washington State Bar Association and has lectured on licensing, privacy and legislation such as online impersonation. He recently joined with Washington State agencies in efforts to revise Washington’s electronic signature laws. Alex was also the 2013 recipient of the Global MIT Enterprise Forum Excellence Award.

Mr. Modelski’s addition strengthens Karr Tuttle Campbell’s team of experienced Technology, e-Commerce and Intellectual Property attorneys, and improves our firm’s ability to serve the technology industry.
