International law firm Simmons & Simmons has appointed Ross Miller as a partner in London.

Ross specialises in secondary market investment and distressed situations. His practice focuses on distressed financings, distressed investment and analysis, restructurings, and loan, bond and claim trading.

He joins from Deutsche Bank in London, where he is Head of Legal & Risk Management in the Distressed Products Group.

Commenting on the hire, Financial Institutions Sector Head at Simmons & Simmons, Jonathan Hammond, said: “Ross’ expertise in the secondary debt and restructuring markets, together with his significant in-house experience at a leading financial institution, will further enhance our successful and growing distressed debt practice.’’
