Baker Botts Adds Four Corporate Partners in New York and Washington

Baker Botts L.L.P., a leading international law firm, today announced that four corporate partners, formerly of Vinson & Elkins, have joined the firm. Three of the lawyers will be based in the firm’s New York office and one in its Washington, D.C. location.

Mr. Rosenwasser is widely recognized as one of the innovators of master limited partnerships (MLPs) since their inception in the early 1980s and continues to be a leader in the MLP industry. He has developed an industry recognized expertise in corporate finance and M&A. Mr. Rosenwasser has counseled on over 100 M&A transactions and 200 public financings. He has specific experience in working on transactions with a high degree of tax structuring.

Michael Swidler, New York

Mr. Swidler’s practice focuses on corporate law, business and commercial law, capital markets, finance, M&A and private equity. He has extensive experience in advising master limited partnerships (MLPs) regarding public and private offerings of debt and equity, initial public offerings and M&A transactions.

Adorys Velazquez, New York

Ms. Velazquez works with clients in the securities, capital markets, and M&A arenas. She has worked with domestic and international companies in the international marine and energy offshore industries as well as leading international investment banks. Ms. Velazquez also represents publicly traded master limited partnerships (MLPs) in private and public equity and debt offerings. She also works with client’s partnership formations, general corporate matters and M&A.

Catherine Gallagher, Washington, D.C.

Ms. Gallagher’s practice focuses on representing underwriters and issuers in corporate securities transactions, including initial public offerings, private placements, Rule 144A, registered secondary equity and debt offerings and continuous equity programs. She also represents clients in M&A and general corporate matters. Ms. Gallagher has extensive experience with shipping companies, offshore drillers, master limited partnerships (MLPs) and real estate investment trusts (REITs).
