Mark Fine Joins Willkie’s Global Finance Practice in London Office

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP announced today that Mark Fine has joined the firm as a partner in its London office.

Mr. Fine comes to Willkie from Bain Capital Credit in London, where he was European General
Counsel. Prior to this role, Mr. Fine was a partner in the debt finance team of Kirkland & Ellis in
its London office. Mr. Fine has significant experience and skill in handling complex debt
financing transactions for borrowers and lenders including direct lending, leveraged buyouts,

“Mark’s vast experience across an array of pan-European and international debt finance
transactions is a strong strategic complement to our finance, private equity and asset
management practices,” said firm Chairman Thomas M. Cerabino. “The addition of Mark in
London reflects the firm’s ongoing commitment to the European private lending sector and the
continuing growth of its representation of key private equity and direct lending firms.”

“I am delighted to be joining Willkie’s highly regarded international finance platform,” said Mr.
Fine. “The group’s breadth of experience and market knowledge have earned the team a strong
industry-wide reputation, and I look forward to working with Willkie’s base of highly active
direct lending and sponsor clients in London, New York and across continental Europe.”

Leveraging its deep familiarity across the financing markets, Willkie’s Finance Practice advises
borrowers, lenders and other traditional and non-traditional capital providers in a wide variety of
transactions. The team combines a genuine understanding of the markets in which clients operate
with creative, business-focused legal advice.
