Dentons Strengthens UK Real Estate Practice With Hire of Five-Partner Team From Irwin Mitchell

Dentons has significantly enhanced its UK Real Estate sector capability with the hire of five partners from Irwin Mitchell:
•Rob Thomson, Head of London Real Estate, Rupert Dowdell and Lewis Myers – all of whom specialise in investment and development work;
•Head of Real Estate Finance Simon Tweedle; and
•Head of Corporate Real Estate Jayne Schnider.

Further biographical details of the team are as follows:
•Rob Thomson specialises in investment and development work, complex corporate real estate and real estate finance transactions, both in the UK and internationally. He joined Irwin Mitchell from SJ Berwin (now King & Wood Mallesons) in 2010, with Lewis, Rupert and Simon.. He advises banks, private equity funds, listed and non-listed property companies and large corporates operating in the office, hotels, logistics, retail and high end residential sectors.
•Rupert Dowdell advises on investment, development and leasing transactions, with a particular focus on office and industrial investments including acquisitions and disposals, and office development projects. He acts on major corporate lettings and development projects.
•Lewis Myers specialises in commercial real estate investment and development work, particularly in the City of London office market. He acts for a number of major property companies.
•Simon Tweedle is a banking and finance partner who specialises in the real estate sector, advising on investment and development finance, structured finance, refinancing, restructuring, mezzanine finance and loan sales and purchases. He acts for both funders and borrowers on a wide range of domestic and international transactions covering asset classes including office, retail, residential, hotels, care homes, student accommodation and shopping centres.
•Jayne Schnider specialises in complex corporate real estate transactions, acting for investors, owners, asset managers, developers, high net worth individuals and family offices. She also advises large corporates and family offices on domestic and European acquisitions of non-real estate-related businesses.
