Daniel J. Roark, Esq. is Managing Director of the Houston office and Austin office of Kinney Recruiting. Daniel graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where he received a BA in English Literature with a minor in Business and was also a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. Following his undergraduate studies, Daniel spent two years in the Rio Grande Valley as an elementary school educator for Teach For America, an AmeriCorps program. Daniel then continued his educational endeavors abroad, teaching in the language department of the University of Guanajuato in Guanajuato, Mexico, one of the nation's most decorated language programs.

Daniel returned to the University of Texas School of Law where he obtained his JD. During law school, he was a member of the Texas International Law Journal and spent a semester abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella where he studied international and comparative law.

Upon graduating from law school, Daniel joined the Houston office of the international law firm ofAkin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld, LLP. As an associate in the Global Projects Group, Daniel's practice was primarily concentrated in energy matters with a particular focus on Latin American transactions. Subsequent to such experience, Daniel joined the business law section of Clark, Thomas and Winters, formerly the largest law firm in Austin, Texas. He is a member of the Texas State Bar and other local andnational bar and professional associations.

A native Texan, Daniel currently resides in Austin, Texas. An avid runner, Daniel recently participated in the Atacama Crossing and also enjoys spending his free time playing guitar and piano, writing, and retreating to his house in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Mexico.
