Perkins Coie Adds Experienced Healthcare Transaction Partner in Dallas

Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that William E. Swart has joined the firm’s Dallas office as a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice with a focus on healthcare transactional matters.

Bill is a transactions lawyer in the healthcare industry. He represents both healthcare providers and related business as well as investors in the healthcare sector. His clients include hospital systems, well-known private equity firms, fundless sponsors and large family offices, which he represents in mergers, acquisitions and financings. He regularly structures and documents initial portfolio company investments, acquisition financings, equity incentive plans for management and add-on acquisitions. In corporate governance matters, Bill guides boards of directors through merger negotiations, management buyouts , capital raising and debt transactions. In addition to the healthcare sector, Bill has experience in the manufacturing, consumer products and energy industries, including working on sophisticated private equity deals in the midstream energy sector. Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Bill was a shareholder with Polsinelli and a co-founder of that firm’s Dallas office.

Bill is active in the Dallas community, chairing the University of Texas at Dallas Arts & Humanities Advisory Board and serving on the boards of the Undermain Theatre and the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. Bill earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law at Austin and received his B.A. from Texas Tech University.
