As the expansion of its Atlanta office continues, AmLaw 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes Sarah Hawk to its Immigration and Workforce Mobility practice, and Leslie F. Spasser to its Tech Transactions and Data Privacy practice.
Hawk brings more than 18 years of experience providing immigration counsel to a variety of companies, which allows them to employ foreign national employees from around the world. Her in-depth knowledge of the immigration law and current practices enables her to strategize with her corporate clients on how to facilitate the movement of their employees from the United States, as well as outbound to other countries. Her practice also counsels on nonimmigrant and immigrant work visa applications, I-9 compliance, and green card cases.
“Sarah is well-known throughout the immigration community – locally and across the U.S.,” said Nancy Rafuse, chair of Polsinelli’s national Labor & Employment Department who is also based in Atlanta. “Her strong health care client list will complement our reputation as one of the top health care law firms in the country.”
With nearly three decades of experience in technology transactions across different industries, Spasser joins Polsinelli to grow their Technology Transactions and Data Privacy practice group in Atlanta. She works with clients in the financial services, media and communications, higher education and healthcare sectors helping them with everything from software licensing and cloud computing agreements to outsourcing agreements for professional and managed services with large technology vendors. She spent more than seven years in-house at Cox Communications, Inc. and The Weather Channel, which enables her take a very business-oriented, practical approach with business and technology stakeholders as well as in-house counsel.

The Atlanta office has grown more than 300 percent since 2014 to include 27 attorneys, including 15 shareholders.
