Stamford Law Advises the First Indonesian Coal Mining Group to be Listed in the Last Five Years

In what is the first Indonesian coal mining group to be listed in the last five years, Stamford Law played a key role in advising Geo Energy Resources Limited on its listing on the Mainboard of the SGX-ST. The Geo Energy Group is a coal mining group with business operations and coal mining concession in Indonesia. The initial public offering of shares is expected to raise approximately S$94 million. Based on the invitation price of S$32.5 cents, the Company’s market capitalisation at listing is expected to be approximately S$376 million.

Stephenson Harwood – New Aviation Finance Partner in Singapore

International law firm Stephenson Harwood has appointed Saugata Mukherjee as a partner in its aviation and structured finance practice in Singapore. Saugata’s previous experience includes working in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s London office as a senior associate in the structured and asset finance group and also as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in London.

Latham & Watkins Advises PTT Global Chemical on US$1 Billion Inaugural Bond Offering

Latham & Watkins represented PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, Thailand’s largest integrated petrochemical and petroleum refining company, in connection with its inaugural US$1 billion bond offering. The issue comprised of 4.25% Senior Unsecured Notes due 2022, representing the largest ever single-tranche US-dollar bond offering by a Thai corporate. The bond also achieved the lowest ever coupon for a Thai 10-year fixed rate US-dollar bond.
