Locke Lord’s San Francisco Office Adds a Third Veteran Attorney to Nationally Recognized Corporate Insurance Practice Group

Dewey & LeBoeuf Will Close San Francisco Office

Dewey & LeBoeuf has announced that the closing of its San Francisco office. But what is to happen to all those employed there, you ask? Don’t worry. They are all to be transferred to Dewey’s East Palo Alto office. The office’s last day of existence is still unknown. As of now, the two combined offices will have 28 lawyers, consisting of nine partners.

Seattle Firm’s San Francisco Office Opens with New Hires

Seattle-based Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro has opened an office in San Francisco to better serve their clients, local tech companies. The firm is known for its plaintiffs work managing multistate national class actions in securities, antitrust and consumer fraud cases. Specifically in the Bay area, Hagens Berman is involved in the DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) and SRAM antitrust cases. To head the new office, the 38-lawyer firm recruited former Lerach Coughlin Stoia Geller Rudman & Robbins partner Reed Kathrein; he will also be in charge of the LA branch. Joining Kathrein in San Francisco are two associates and an of counsel from the Lerach firm.

Allen Matkins Opens Second Office in San Francisco Bay Area

Allen Matkins Leck Gamble Mallory & Natsis will open a new office in Walnut Creek, CA this May. This office will be its second in the San Francisco Bay area; the real estate firm’s five other offices are in Southern California. The 6,600 square foot office will accomodate up to 11 attorneys, and will hopefully attract new clients. San Francisco land use partners Michael Durkee and David Blackwell and associate Thomas Tunny will work in Walnut Creek initially, but the firm will be recruiting new partners and associates with real estate experience.
