Duane Morris Adds Nanette Heide in New York

Duane Morris has added Nanette C. Heide to its corporate finance department.  Heide is the 26th lawyer to join Duane Morris’ New York office since December.  She was previously a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  Heide received her J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1990.

Patton Boggs Makes Three Bankruptcy Partner Hire

Foley & Lardner has lost three partners from its bankruptcy practice to Patton Boggs.  Michael Richman, the former firm’s bankruptcy foreman is now destined to chair Patton’s bankruptcy practice.  He will be based out of the New York office, while partners Mark Salzberg and Erika Morabito will be stationed out of the Washington office.

Morgan & Finnegan Files for Bankruptcy

Morgan & Finnegan, once an Intellectual Property boutique in New York filed for bankruptcy. The firm called it quits just this February after many partners left for good.  Morgan’s revenues decreased by 38 percent leaving it $6.37 million in assets and  $10 million in liabilities.

Gary Ticoll Plus Four

Gary Ticoll, along with four associates, have joined the law firm of Greenberg Traurig.  Ticoll will practice bankruptcy law out of New York in the Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy group.  He brings along associates Sohyoung Choo, Jack C. The Names of Partners Jumping McKee Nelson Ship Released

McKee Nelson has released the names of those partners departing for Ashurst.  These 11 partners are recruited by their new firm to help lead its new offices in Washington DC and New York. Those on their way to the New York office are: Douglas Bird, Eugene Ferrer, Thomas Glushko, William Gray, Steven Kopp, David Nirenberg, Patrick Quill, Michael Voldstad and Alice Yurke. Partners Richard Davis and Scott Faga are to join the Washington office.  The number of associates taken along for the ride to Ashurt has not been disclosed.

A&O Takes on Two From Cadwalader

Allen & Overy has struck lateral gold with the hire of two restructuring attorneys. Angela Somers and John Kibler both join from Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft and both join A&O’s New York office as special counsel. This is just the beginning. Kevin O’Shea, A&O’s NY restructuring head, plans to make his practice a determining factor in the firm’s growth.

DePippo Now at Kirkland
