King & Spalding and Littler Mendelson are branching out. The two firms are opening offices in new cities. King & Spalding has launched a city in Geneva. This new addition makes King & Spalding’s seventh office outside of the US. Littler Mendelson will open its new office in Anchorage, Alaska. The new office will make the firm’s 49^th office.

More female lawyers are making partnership than last year, but its still a small group. Women make up about 34 percent of the lawyers that were promoted to partnership this year. This is up from 28 percent from the year prior.
