Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its Washington, DC office.  Sean W. Glynn has joined the firm’s Washington office as a Director.  Sean focuses his practice on the representation of non-profits with respect to their business issues including leasing, construction, and general corporate advice, with a particular focus on tax exempt bond finance.  He also performs lender work for a broad array of clients, and was most recently a Partner at Arent Fox’s DC office.

Shearman & Sterling Advises on Volcan’s Notes Offering

Shearman & Sterling represented Volcan Compañía Minera S.A.A., a diversified Peruvian mining company and a major global producer of zinc, silver and lead, in connection with its inaugural offering in the international capital markets. Volcan issued US$600 million 5.375% Senior Notes due 2022 in a Rule 144A/Regulation S offering. Volcan is the leading producer of silver and lead and the second producer of zinc in Peru in the first nine months of 2011, according to the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines. Volcan will use the net proceeds of this offering for general corporate purposes, including to fund expansion projects and acquisitions to expand its operations.
