Schiff Hardin LLP is pleased to announce that Bruder, Gentile & Marcoux, L.L.P. (BGM) combined its law practice with Schiff Hardin’s law practice on January 1, 2013, and will operate under the name Schiff Hardin LLP. BGM is a Washington-based law firm focused on regulatory issues affecting the electric energy and natural gas industries and represents clients before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), other federal agencies and the U.S. Courts of Appeals. BGM attorneys and staff are joining Schiff Hardin’s Washington office. The experience and knowledge of the combined group of attorneys give Schiff Hardin a powerful capability to represent clients in regulatory matters before federal agencies and state utility regulatory commissions. Schiff Hardin now totals nearly 400 attorneys across the firm’s nine offices located throughout the United States.

Simpson Thacher represented TPC Group Inc. (“TPC”), as part of the acquisition of TPC by affiliates of First Reserve Management, L.P. and SK Capital Partners (collectively, the “Sponsors”), in connection with its Rule 144A and Regulation S offering of $655 million aggregate principal amount of 8.75% Senior Secured Notes due 2020. TPC also entered into a new $250 million asset-backed revolving credit facility.
