Baker Botts Represents Underwriters for the Initial Public Offering of Western Refining Logistics, LP

On October 10, 2013, Western Refining Logistics, LP (“WNRL”), a Delaware limited partnership and wholly owned subsidiary of Western Refining, Inc. (“Western”) (NYSE:WNR) announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 13,750,000 common units representing limited partner interests in WNRL, at $22.00 per unit. The common units are being traded on the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”), under the ticker symbol “WNRL.” WNRL has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase from WNRL up to an additional 2,062,500 common units, at the initial public offering price. The offering is expected to close on or about October 16, 2013, subject to customary closing conditions.

K&L Gates Advises Japan Airlines on Landmark Airbus Deal

Global law firm K&L Gates recently represented Japanese carrier Japan Airlines (JAL) in a landmark deal that has the company acquiring 31 of aircraft manufacturer Airbus’ A350 planes, along with options for a further 25 aircraft. This marks JAL’s first-ever order with Airbus, in addition to the largest order for the A350 in 2013.

Squire Sanders represented defense contractor CACI International Inc in its definitive agreement to purchase Six3 Systems, Inc. from the private equity firm GTCR. Six3 Systems provides support to the national security community in the areas of cyber and signals intelligence; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; and intelligence operations. The deal is valued at US$820 million and is expected to close during CACI’s fiscal second quarter, ending December 2013, subject to regulatory approvals.
