Simpson Thacher represented Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners in the establishment of Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund LP, a private equity fund focused on infrastructure investment opportunities in the North American middle market, targeting the water and utilities, energy and power and transportation sectors. The Fund, which was oversubscribed, accepted capital commitments up to its cap of $1.65 billion. Stonepeak was founded by Michael Dorrell and Trent Vichie, who were formerly members of the infrastructure investment team at Blackstone.
