Cravath To Increased Number of Summer Associates

Although many law firms are minimizing the number of summer associates, Cravath, Swaine & Moore has announced that it is doing the opposite. The firm has just announced that it is planning on taking 75 percent more associates than last year. That would bring the number up to 161, from last years 91. Cravath has also assured that it will not be cutting back on perks for the summer associates either; plans for a party and Broadway show tickets are in the works.

Merger Creates Second Largest Firm In Dayton

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP and Chernesky, Heyman and Kress PLL are merging to create the second largest law firm in Dayton. Before their combined efforts, Dinsmore was the ninth largest, while Chernesky held the title as being the sixth largest. After the merge, the newly created firm will have a total of 47 lawyers.
