Squire Patton Boggs Bolsters Global White Collar Practice with Addition of Veteran Litigator

Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Kevin McCart has rejoined the firm as a partner in its Government Investigations and White Collar Practice Group. He joins from Husch Blackwell and will be resident in the Washington, DC office.

Mr. McCart has extensive government and internal investigations experience. He has served as lead counsel in criminal and civil matters in federal district and circuit courts, as well as military courts-martial. Mr. McCart advises in a wide range of government investigations and white collar engagements, including False Claims Act litigation, criminal and civil fraud investigations, internal investigations, international due diligence, and bid protests. He regularly represents clients in Department of Justice, Department of Health and Human Services, and Department of Labor investigations, as well as inquiries and proceedings before other federal and state entities. Mr. McCart’s global government and internal investigations experience includes counseling clients on export control and sanctions compliance, in addition to Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and False Claims Act matters. Additionally, he has represented numerous energy, particularly renewable companies, as well as companies in the healthcare sector, in internal investigations and commercial litigation.

Before going into private practice, Mr. McCart served as an active duty Army judge advocate, where he gained experience as a trial attorney and prosecutor on numerous felony, bench and jury trials. While stationed in Afghanistan, Mr. McCart served as a senior legal advisor to a multinational airborne infantry brigade, responsible for all US legal operations in Southern Afghanistan. Mr. McCart has an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia.
