Shearman & Sterling continues its expansion with the hire of market-leading CFIUS partner John Beahn in its Washington, D.C. office. John joins the firm from DLA Piper.
With more than 20 years’ experience, John advises clients on complex transactions requiring Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), Defense Security Service and U.S. telecom agency approvals. He is also a sought out expert in national security issues, including supply chain matters, risk mitigation, and compliance monitoring. John joins Robert LaRussa, a former Commerce Department Under Secretary for International Trade, in our CFIUS practice.
