Polsinelli Adds Employment Litigator Tony Torain, II in Washington, D.C. Office

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli welcomes Tony W. Torain, II to the firm’s national Employment Litigation Practice. He will practice from the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. He comes to the firm from the D.C. office of Littler Mendelson, PC.

Torain, II regularly represents clients on strategic labor relations planning matters as well as regulations relating to the workplace. His experience spans from arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, strikes, union election campaigns and collective bargaining negotiations, to employee separations and terminations, wage payment issues, compliance with federal and state regulations relating to the workplace and the management of unionized workforces.

Torain, II represents companies in connection with all types of employment and labor disputes, including wrongful discharge and claims based on: The National Labor Relations Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Age Discrimination in Employment Act, The Family and Medical Leave Act, The Fair Labor Standards Act, The Occupational Safety and Health Act and The McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act.

Torain, II obtained his bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from Towson University before earning his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Torain, II is heavily involved in enhancing the legal profession through memberships with The American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, Maryland Defense Counsel, Maryland State Bar Association, Monumental City Bar Association and National Bar Association. He serves as a Board Member for the Associated Black Charities.
