Willkie Adds Broker-Dealer Regulatory Partner Brian Baltz in Washington, DC

Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP today announced that broker-dealer and securities regulatory lawyer Brian Baltz has joined the Firm as a partner in the Asset Management Department, where he is a part of the Regulatory and Enforcement practice. Brian is based in Willkie’s Washington, DC office. A former Securities and Exchange Commission attorney, Brian has significant experience with regulatory issues across broker-dealer, investment adviser and bank fiduciary businesses of financial institutions.  Baltz was most recently a partner at McGuireWoods LLP.

Shareholder Thomas Grow Joins Littler in Washington, D.C.

Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has added Thomas S. Grow as a shareholder in its Labor Management Relations practice group. Grow, who was previously special counsel with Littler, rejoins the firm in the Washington, D.C., office from telecommunications and mass media company Charter Communications, where he served as vice president of labor relations.

Holland & Knight Strengthens Intellectual Property Practice with Three-Partner Team in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Holland & Knight has strengthened its national Intellectual Property Group with a team of three partners from Perkins Coie who have particular experience with the International Trade Commission (ITC) and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) post-grant review proceedings. James “Jim” Coughlan and Terrence “Terry” Wikberg have joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, and Amy Simpson has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office. Ms. Simpson was formerly co-chair of her previous firm’s Post-Grant Proceedings practice for over a decade, and Mr. Coughlan was the co-chair of his previous firm’s ITC Litigation Group for 14 years prior to joining Holland & Knight.
