McDermott Boosts Energy Transaction Practice in Washington

Leading international law firm McDermott Will & Emery announced today that Chris Gladbach has joined the Firm’s Corporate and Transactions group as a partner based in Washington, DC. Gladbach comes to the firm from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP.

“Chris’ extensive background as an energy-focused corporate lawyer will benefit clients with increasingly complex and broad needs across mergers and acquisitions, project finance, project development and tax equity issues,” said Harris Siskind, global head of McDermott’s Corporate and Transactional Group and a Miami-based partner. “We remain focused on growing our practice in order to satisfy specific client needs and demands. Chris’ experience compliments our more recent additions of energy lawyers Neil Levy, David Tewksbury, Bruce Richardson and Stephanie Lim.”

Chris’ practice focuses on advising both sellers and buyers in the power sector in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, large-scale energy projects, debt investments and structuring complex equity arrangements. He also has experience working with clients who are working with the United States Department of Defense on energy projects. He advises lenders, purchasers, sponsors and developers, and tax equity investors.
