Marwan Azzi Joins White & Case as a Partner

Global law firm White & Case LLP continues to expand its Global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Practice with the addition of Marwan Azzi as a partner in New York. Azzi will work closely with the Firm’s Global Private Equity (PE) Industry Group.

“Marwan is a rising M&A star who will help accelerate the continued growth of our Global M&A Practice,” said John Reiss, Head of White & Case’s Global M&A Practice. “The addition of dynamic young talent like Marwan is a key pillar of our strategy to expand and strengthen our US M&A Practice for the long term. It is also an important component of our plan to invest in our Global PE practice for the benefit of our existing and new clients.”

Azzi has significant experience advising on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, PE investments, joint ventures, strategic alliances and financing transactions. He has particular recent experience in the energy sector in Latin America representing very active PE investors

“We have unusual strength in energy and infrastructure M&A and finance already, including for PE clients,” said Reiss. “Marwan’s experience provides additional depth and access to synergistic new opportunities that we are uniquely positioned to harness.”

“PE firms have experienced a very busy year, investing in various ventures, including businesses in the technology, healthcare, infrastructure, industrial, retail and energy sectors,” said Oliver Brahmst, White & Case’s Global Co-Head of PE. “Marwan’s success in navigating transactions around the world makes him a great resource for PE firms that are looking to do deals both domestically and globally.”

Azzi is the latest in a series of hires for the Firm’s Global M&A Practice, including Jan Jensen and Shoan Panahi in October, Dov Gottlieb in September, Andre Zhu in April and Patrick Sarch in January.
