Kilpatrick Townsend Adds Leading International Arbitration Partner

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today the addition of Thomas G. Allen to the Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Allen will serve as a partner in the firm’s nationally recognized Construction & Infrastructure Team. Mr. Allen will act as Global Lead for International Disputes. He joins from Greenberg Traurig.

Mr. Allen brings a practice focused on international arbitration and cross-border disputes in a variety of industries, with an emphasis on energy, manufacturing, construction, and aviation. He has broad experience in high-value international and U.S. arbitrations, and he litigates the enforceability of arbitration clauses and arbitration awards in U.S. courts. Mr. Allen acts as an arbitrator and has advised foreign governments and corporations in investor-state dispute settlement matters. He serves as Vice Chair of the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration Committee of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and he counsels foreign and U.S. corporations on U.S. government investigations and enforcement proceedings.

Mr. Allen is an industry thought leader. He is a frequent lecturer on international arbitration topics, is a former adjunct professor in the international arbitration discipline, and is a go-to resource for legal and business media. Mr. Allen is also active in serving the legal community. He serves on the Board of the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs and he previously served as the Fundraising Campaign Co-Chair for the Legal Aid Society of Washington, D.C.
