Christina Guerola Sarchio Joins Dechert as Litigation Partner in Washington, D.C.

Dechert LLP, a leading global law firm, announced today that Christina Guerola Sarchio has joined the firm as a litigation partner in its Washington, D.C. office. Previously, Sarchio was a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where she served as chair of the class action strike team and was a member of the board of directors.

“Christina is a well-established litigator with significant, high-profile trial experience that will directly benefit current and future clients,” said Matthew Larrabee, chair of Dechert’s litigation practice. “Her first chair trial skills, coupled with her deep client relationships, will strengthen our team’s capabilities and we are very pleased she is joining Dechert.”

Sarchio focuses her practice on general commercial litigation, class actions and white collar defense, with significant experience in the consumer products, financial, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, sports and transportation industries. A former prosecutor and an experienced trial lawyer, she has successfully tried several jury trials before federal and state courts. She also regularly appears before a number of agencies and regulators, including the DOJ, FDA, SEC and various U.S. Attorney offices.

Sarchio has been recognized as a leading lawyer for her work in general commercial disputes in The Legal 500 U.S. 2017. She was also recently selected as a 2017 Rainmaker by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) and named among the Top 250 Women in Litigation in the U.S. for 2017 by Benchmark Litigation, where she is also listed as a D.C. litigation star. She is a member of several organizations, including the Hispanic National Bar Association, where she previously served as Vice President, and the Hispanic Bar Association of D.C., where she previously served as President.

A graduate of Cornell University (B.A., 1991) and The George Washington University Law School (J.D., 1995), Sarchio is a member of the District of Columbia, New Jersey, New York and Virginia bars.
