Akin Gump today announced that Corey W. Roush has joined the firm as a partner in its litigation and antitrust practices in Washington, D.C. Mr. Roush, who focuses on antitrust and consumer protection litigation and investigations, as well as white collar defense, internal investigations and other complex commercial litigation, comes to Akin Gump from Hogan Lovells.
Mr. Roush’s practice consists of representing large national and international companies in various jurisdictions throughout the United States and before government agencies on antitrust, consumer protection and False Claims Act/kickback qui tam cases and investigations. Over the years, he has defended both pre- and post-consummation merger litigation brought by the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice Antitrust Division, litigated private cases involving class actions as well as disputes between competitors and conducted internal investigations, assessing potential risk and advising on ways to mitigate that risk. Mr. Roush has developed a particular niche representing clients in the life sciences and automotive industries.
