Ogletree Deakins Further Establishes Canadian Labor Capabilities, Welcomes Stephen Shore as Partner

Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Stephen Shore as a partner in the firm’s Toronto office. Stephen will lead Ogletree Deakins’ traditional labor relations practice group in Canada. His arrival further establishes the firm’s traditional labor capabilities and expands its Canadian presence. Stephen joins Ogletree Deakins from Sherrard Kuzz LLP.

Stephen is a skilled advocate whose practice is focused on the representation of management in a full range of employment and labor law with particular emphasis on grievance arbitration, wrongful and constructive dismissal litigation, collective bargaining, responding to union organizing and applications for certification, and corporate restructuring and transactions. He is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Chair of the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Hillel Ontario, a member of the Ontario Bar Association Labour and Employment Section’s Legislative Review Subcommittee, a member of the Resilient Communities Ontario – Health and Safety Committee, and an alumni member of St. Michael’s Hospital Young Leaders. Stephen is a graduate of the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science, Honours Degree, in Economics and Statistics from Dalhousie University.
