Mintz welcomes Alexander Katznelson to the firm’s Securities & Capital Markets Practice as a Partner based in Toronto. Alex advises US and Canadian clients, many of them investment banks, on cross-border corporate finance, securities, and strategic transactions across a wide range of industries, with substantial experience in digital infrastructure, data centers, and natural resources. Before joining Mintz, Alex spent nearly a decade advising clients on securities, capital markets, and transactional matters in Toronto, most recently as a partner at Cozen O'Connor.
Alex regularly represents issuers, underwriters, sponsors, investors, and investment banks in cross-border financings and capital markets transactions, helping clients access both Canadian and US capital markets and navigate the regulatory requirements of major North American exchanges.
“We lean in where our clients need us most, and increasingly that means helping them find the capital to power and build the digital infrastructure driving the economy,” said Managing Partner
Bob Bodian. “We’re thrilled to welcome Alex to Mintz. Alex’s experience serving investment banks and other market participants will strengthen our ability to advise clients on sophisticated matters across North America.”
Alex also provides strategic guidance on corporate governance, disclosure obligations, commercial arrangements, and securities law compliance, helping clients to execute transactions efficiently across jurisdictions.
“I joined Mintz for the opportunity to serve my clients on a large, integrated cross-border platform,” said Alex. “The firm combines sophisticated capital markets capabilities with deep experience in the data center infrastructure and mining sectors, allowing me to provide clients with comprehensive support on increasingly complex transactions.”
