Lewis Brisbois Expands General Liability Practice in Tampa with New Partner Hire

Lewis Brisbois is pleased to welcome John Heilman to its Tampa office as a partner in its General Liability Practice. Mr. Heilman focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation and personal injury protection (PIP) defense. He brings to Lewis Brisbois extensive experience defending some of the largest PIP carriers in the country and managing state-wide defense portfolios in Florida. In addition, Mr. Heilman has defended campgrounds and auto/recreational vehicle dealers in injury and property damage claims. Before joining the firm, Heilman was an Insurance Defense Lititgation Shareholder at Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin.

Outside of his practice, Mr. Heilman has delivered several presentations and published various materials related to insurance and litigation matters.

Mr. Heilman holds a J.D. and an M.B.A. from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law and Warrington Graduate School of Business, respectively. He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Heilman is admitted to practice in federal and state courts in Florida.
