Kristina Marsh Joins Gordon & Rees as Partner in the Tampa Office

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes Kristina (Tina) L. Marsh as a partner in the firm’s Tampa office. Marsh joins the firm’s Insurance, Commercial Litigation, Construction, Tort & Product Liability and Professional Liability Defense practice groups. Marsh was previously with Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP in their Tampa Office.

Marsh is an experienced civil litigator whose diverse practice includes insurance coverage cases, commercial disputes, personal injury, products liability, premises liability and construction defect litigation. While a large percentage of her practice is focused on matters involving first party insurance coverage and disputes arising from property damage claims and losses related to Windstorms, Water & Flood, Plumbing Leaks, Cast Iron Pipes, Roofing Failures, Fire, Arson, Theft, and Mold, she also defends individuals, businesses, agencies, and institutions in various types of third party claims, including: Professional Liability, Slip & Fall, Premises Liability, Homeowner Liability, Automotive Liability, and Construction Defect from inception through appeal. She has been involved in several noteworthy cases involving breaches of insurance contracts and interpretation of the terms, conditions, and exclusions contained within all types of policies.

In addition to her coverage and litigation practice, Marsh is also a Circuit Civil Mediator certified by the Supreme Court of Florida and devotes a percentage of her practice to mediating a broad range of civil disputes, including but not limited to Personal Injury, Insurance Coverage Disputes, Forced Placed Insurance, Priority of Coverage, Equitable Subrogation and Indemnification, Personal Injury, Commercial, Construction, Disputes involving Homeowner/Condominium Associations, and Bad Faith. Marsh’s experience as both a litigator and a mediator provides her with a keen appreciation and understanding of numerous issues that can influence the direction of a case. Likewise, her experience enables her to identify opportunities to resolve even the most challenging cases.

In addition to managing her diverse practices, Marsh has been certified by the state of Florida to provide continuing education courses and frequently conducts seminars on mediation, appraisal, insurance trends, claim handling strategies, and legal updates. Marsh is also a certified WIND Appraiser and WIND Umpire.

Marsh is admitted in Florida, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida. She is a member of national associations including the National Association of Professional Women, American Bar Association, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance, and Windstorm Insurance Network, Inc. She is also a member of organizations in Florida including The Florida Bar (Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trial Lawyers Sections), Hillsborough County Bar Association, and Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Inc. Marsh earned her law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida.
