Cameron specialises in real estate and brings with him more than 20 years of experience on both Australian and regional matters. He has particular expertise in commercial property portfolios; divestment and acquisition; leases and licences; linear infrastructure projects; development projects; joint ventures; working with receivers and managers and ‘off the plan’ projects.
He also has experience in dealing with investors from China, Southeast Asia and the North Asian region; and has built a strong practice supporting a mixture of government, corporate real estate and inbound investor clients.
The Australian Projects & Construction team, led by Partner David McElveney, has built a strong practice focused on contentious matters in the region. A non-contentious real estate practice led by Cameron will complement the firm’s existing expertise and client base in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to a leading Projects & Construction practice in Australia the firm also boasts highly recognised Projects & Construction practices in Singapore, Hong Kong and China, as well as a dedicated Asia Pacific Hospitality team led by Partner Benjamin Hirasawa.
“Those capabilities, along with the firm’s extensive footprint in the region, made establishing a dedicated non-contentious real estate practice in Australia the next logical step,” says David.
In recent years Cameron has been recognised by The Legal 500 as a “highly recommended” real estate lawyer in Australia, and is currently recognised by The Legal 500 for his work with POSCO Engineering & Construction from South Korea. Cameron also appears in Best Lawyers Australia.
