Brad Strahorn Joins White & Case as a Partner

Global law firm White & Case LLP announced today that Brad Strahorn will join the Firm’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice as a partner in its Sydney office.

“Disagreements over construction contracts can significantly delay schedules and result in the loss of revenue,” said White & Case partner Glenn Kurtz, who heads the Firm’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice. “Brad has advised principals and contractors in resolving domestic and multifaceted cross-border disputes that arise during the life cycle of infrastructure and energy projects.”

Strahorn has extensive experience in construction disputes across a wide range of energy and infrastructure sectors, including road, rail, upstream and downstream oil & gas and electricity.

He has litigated cases involving the construction of assets in each of these sectors, typically concerning design liability, defects, performance failures, delays and disruptions.

“Australia has grown into a world-leading market for construction and infrastructure projects,” said White & Case partner Eric Berg, Head of Asia-Pacific. “Brad’s hire reinforces our commitment to helping clients navigate multibillion- and multimillion-dollar infrastructure development and disputes. He and our partners Hamish Macpherson and Max Bonnell are leading litigators who have great reputations in the Australian market.”

Formerly a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills, Strahorn also provides strategic advice to companies during the course of and at the conclusion of their projects. He has counseled them on project-delivery frameworks, such as traditional and alliance contracting and public-private partnerships, and in the negotiation and drafting of contracts.
