Polsinelli Expands IP Practice in St. Louis Office with the Addition of Michael H. Longmeyer

Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Michael H. Longmeyer has joined the firm as a shareholder in the St. Louis office. Longmeyer focuses his practice on establishing and maintaining the protection of the intellectual property assets. He will join Polsinelli’s national Intellectual Property (IP) department, which is one of the largest in the U.S. Longmeyer comes to the firm from Armstrong Teasdale LLP.

Throughout his legal career, Longmeyer has served clients in a diverse array of industries including turbomachinery, computer-implemented financial technology, aircraft and space systems, automatic control systems, electronic gaming technology, electric motors and airport security systems. He has also represented clients in a wide range of litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and supply and licensing contracts.

Prior to practicing law, Longmeyer worked as an engineer for NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. In this role, he developed hardware and software for real-time data acquisition and control systems and provided other structural testing and microgravity experiment support.

Longmeyer is a magna cum laude graduate of Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, as well as a Master of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics, from Purdue University. He has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri, U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit. He is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The addition of Longmeyer expands Polsinelli’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Science practice.
