Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Lian Yok Tan. She joins the firm from K&L Gates where she was global co-head of the Energy, Infrastructure and Resources Practice.

With almost 30 years’ experience in the energy and infrastructure industries, Lian Yok has advised on a wide range of projects including renewable, hydrogen, LNG, power, oil and gas, infrastructure, mining, and technology matters. “Lian Yok is a talented and versatile practitioner, widely recognised as one of the region’s leading lawyers in the energy and infrastructure space,” commented Barry Stimpson, Singapore office managing partner. “She brings a wealth of connections across Asia Pacific, particularly in Indonesia, which will strengthen our existing relationships and help us secure new clients.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Lian Yok to our team,” added Singapore Financial Services partner Kate Sherrard. “With her expertise and track record in acting on high profile projects, Lian Yok will add depth and strength to our finance and project capability across Asia Pacific, while complementing the work of our global practice.”

Lian Yok was admitted to the New York bar in 2000, and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2002. She is an advocate and solicitor in Singapore and was also admitted in Malaysia. Commenting on her move, Lian Yok said, “Squire Patton Boggs’ rapidly growing market presence in Singapore, longstanding energy and infrastructure practices and ambitious expansion plans made the firm an exciting destination for me. I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”
