International Arbitration Lawyer Yu Jin Tay to Join DLA Piper

DLA Piper today announces that international arbitration lawyer, Yu Jin Tay, is joining the firm as a partner in January 2013. He joins DLA Piper’s Asia Pacific Litigation and Regulatory practice and will be based in the firm’s Singapore office. He will join Matthew Saunders and Claudia Salomon as co-chair of the firm’s international arbitration practice.

Yu Jin joins the firm from Shearman & Sterling, where he was responsible for leading the international arbitration practice in Asia. He has practised international arbitration in Paris, London and Washington, DC and specialises in international arbitrations arising from M&A, joint venture, oil and gas, construction and general commercial disputes. He also has expertise in representing investors and governments in investment treaty arbitrations.

Yu Jin also previously trained as a barrister at Fountain Court Chambers, and also served with the Singapore Ministry of Defence as a military prosecutor and legal counsel.
