Clifford Chance Advises KrisEnergy on US$215 Million IPO

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised KrisEnergy on its US$215 million IPO in Singapore. KrisEnergy is an oil and gas exploration and production company based in Singapore.

“We were delighted to assist KrisEnergy on its successful IPO,” said Partner Raymond Tong. “It was very exciting working on this groundbreaking deal as we had to work closely with the Singapore Stock Exchange while the proposed rules for the listing of oil and gas companies were still being finalised. KrisEnergy’s listing will pave the way for future listings of oil and gas companies in Singapore.”

The company sold 246.15 million shares at US$0.87 per share. Bank of America Merrill Lynch and CLSA acted as joint global coordinators and bookrunners on the deal.

Raymond led on the deal with partner Johannes Juette. They were supported by counsel Wern Sern Bin, and associates Jonathan Crandall, Ryan Lin and Montse Ferrer.

Our Amsterdam team, led by partner Jeroen Thijssen, advised on Dutch law in relation to KrisEnergy’s Dutch subsidiaries. He was supported by associate Wieteke van de Kamp.
