Cooley is enhancing its global private equity group with the arrival of three prominent partners. Ron Hopkinson joins in New York from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where he was head of the firm’s private equity group. Eric Schwartzman joins in Palo Alto from Weil, Gotshal & Manges’ Silicon Valley office. Hopkinson and Schwartzman, former partners of Latham & Watkins, worked extensively together in New York representing a myriad of private equity sponsors. Joseph A. Fazioli Joins Dechert’s Litigation Practice in Silicon Valley

Dechert LLP, a global specialist law firm, announced today that Joseph A. Fazioli has joined the firm as a partner in the litigation department. He was most recently an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of California. Fazioli will be resident in the firm’s Silicon Valley office where his practice will include representation of clients across a wide range of complex business disputes, including white collar defense, internal investigations, SEC enforcement proceedings, securities litigation, trade secrets disputes, and other commercial litigation.
