Litigator Sarah Macklin Joins Fox Rothschild in Seattle

Fox Rothschild is pleased to welcome Sarah D. Macklin to our Seattle office as a partner in the Litigation Department. Prior to joining Fox, Macklin was partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP.

“Sarah is a practical, yet fierce advocate for her clients,” said W. Ward Morrison, Jr., Managing Partner of the firm’s Seattle office. “She has extensive experience litigating insurance disputes and business matters throughout the state. We are thrilled to welcome her to our Seattle team.”

A skilled litigator, Macklin helps clients resolve insurance and commercial disputes and advises clients on potential liability exposures. She regularly works with individual and commercial clients, including insurers, to reach creative solutions and resolutions.

Macklin represents insurance carriers and their policyholders in a broad range of litigation involving bad faith claims, personal injury, wrongful death, property disputes, general liability, professional liability and class action lawsuits. She defends insurers in bad faith, coverage and indemnity law has briefed appellate matters through the Washington Supreme Court and in the Ninth Circuit.

In addition, Macklin has represented businesses and their directors and officers in employment law claims involving harassment, retaliation and discrimination in arbitration. She has appeared before government agencies, federal and state trial and appellate courts, the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, the state Human Rights Commission as well as the U.S. Department of Education and the Equal Opportunity Commission.

She also handles class action, product liability, professional liability, construction disputes and complex commercial litigation matters.

Macklin earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.A. from Colgate University.
